Ceremony

Hoyt Arboretum
We will be saying our vows at Hoyt Arboretum, a Portland public park, atop of a hill overlooking Portland's west hills in one direction and Mt. St. Helens in the other direction. We happened upon this place on a rare sunny day in late winter while walking around the arboretum. The views are amazing while still enjoying a very Oregon "foresty" feel. It feels very "us." Guest will have to take a short walk to get to the ceremony location, so please keep that in mind when choosing your shoes for the evening (i.e., avoid the stilettos).

Reception

The World Forestry Center
The World Forestry Center is located in Southwest Portland next the the Oregon Zoo. The reception will take place in Cheatham Hall, a very cool octagon shaped building. This location is walking distance from the ceremony site. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes because we plan on taking this party late into the evening!

Transportation

One of the greatest things about our wedding venue is it is easily accessible by public transport. There is a MAX (Portland's light rail train) stop mere feet from the entrance of the Forestry Center. While there is parking at the Forestry Center, we hope people choose the "green" option and take the MAX to our wedding. The red line and the blue line make stops at the Zoo/Forestry Center stop. You could even bring your bike along and Zoo Bomb your way home!
